Beginning the week of September 28, all EC students will receive free admission to district sponsored athletic events during the 26-27 school year. Please note this excludes post season events and tournaments. Additionally, students in grades K-5 must be accompanied by an adult. We look forward to seeing our students out there supporting their classmates and showcasing our school spirit!
As many of you are aware a message went out yesterday informing parents and guardians of our newest way to communicate with you . Edwards County Schools will be using this platform for ALL communications...this includes all sports, academics, and clubs. All communications will begin using this platform on November 1st and will take place of the other applications such as ClassDojo, TeamReach, Remind, etc. It will NOT replace your access to TeacherEase. Please accept the invitation that you received.
2025-2026 ECHS Yearbooks
The 2025-2026 Edwardians have arrived! Current students who pre-ordered can pick their books up from Mrs. Arnold during RTI/Advisory starting today. All graduates who pre-ordered can pick up their yearbook in the ECHS Office Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Just a reminder that Friday, September 4th is a 12:15 dismissal for students and there is no school on Monday, September 7th due to Labor Day.
School Board to Hold Public Hearing September 21, 2026
A Public Hearing for the purpose of presenting the FY 2027 School Budget for Edwards County CUSD #1, Counties of Edwards, Wabash, Wayne and Richland, State of Illinois, will be held on September 21, 2026 at 6:45 p.m. The hearing will be in the K-12 Band Room (Room # 122) which is located at 361 W. Main St in Albion, IL 62806. Currently the tentative budget is on display at the Unit Office which is located at 361 W. Main Street. Anyone wishing to view the budget may do so between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday — Friday. If you have questions regarding the Public Hearing, please contact David Cowger, Edwards County CUSD #1 Superintendent at 618 445-2814.
Parking Information for Football Games
Anyone who is tailgating must be parked between 4:30 - 6:00 pm in the tailgating area. Tailgaters will need to wait until all fans have cleared before leaving the tailgating area. There is only one entrance this year.
Please view the map regarding handicap parking. You will drive down the lane to the designated spot. We will also have 2 golf carts driving people down who need assistance.

On Thursday, August 13th through Sunday, August 16th the West entrance to the school off of Route 15 will be closed. A water line is being installed for the new vocational building. All traffic needs to use the East entrance or enter from the baseball fields. Thank you.
ECHS Picture Day is Tuesday, August 18th!
Iconik will be at Edwards County High School next Tuesday to take school pictures. Everyone needs to have their picture taken for the yearbook. Seniors’ pictures will also be used for graduation.
Just a friendly reminder that Freshman Orientation Day is August 11th from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm! The event is open to incoming freshmen and new students to ECHS.

Senior breakfast and graduation practice will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 15th. Breakfast will be served to the ECHS Class of 2026 at the First Christian Church in Albion at 8:30 a.m. Graduation practice will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. in the Linda Oxby Gymnasium. All graduates should bring their cap and gown as a class picture will be taken.
